Botulinum toxin (Botox, Dysport, etc.), which is mostly used in the treatment of facial wrinkles, reduces the wrinkles caused by muscle movement on the skin by weakening the contraction of the mimic muscle it acts on.

 

There are many areas of utilization including the correction of wrinkles around the eyes known as "crow's foot", correction of sagging mouth corners, treatment of deep lines between eyebrows and lifting of the nasal tip.

 

Another area in which it is used is to reduce excessive sweating. It is frequently used in the treatment of impaired sweating in the armpit and palm area, which adversely affect social life.

 

The effect of the treatment lasts 4 to 6 months and the effects begin to be seen on the 3rd day and settle fully on the 10th day.
