Abdominoplasty / Tummy Tuck

Abdominoplasty / Tummy Tuck

The abdominal region is the most deformed area due to pregnancy and childbirth or after excessive weight loss. Tummy Tuck operation is one of the most preferred methods by plastic surgeons because it provides ideal results after giving birth especially when there is sagging and stretch marks on the skin that is tightened and expanded during pregnancy and also in patients with abdominal distension due to separation of the abdominal muscles.

This surgery, which removes the sagging skin and excess fat in the abdominal region, is performed under general anaesthesia. The patient should be hospitalized for 1 or 2 nights after surgery and an abdominal corset should be used for 4 weeks.

Tummy Tuck operations can be performed in the same session as other aesthetic surgeries for body shaping or the operations performed by other branches of medicine such as hysterectomy.

Although it leaves permanent scars, it is a procedure with which the patients are highly satisfied because the scars are usually kept under the underwear and the patient is recovered from the sagging abdominal skin with stretch marks.
